Join us for a free weeklong summer camp in Steamboat Springs, where high school sophomores and juniors meet other kids, develop leadership skills, and learn about electric co-ops.
What Is It?
The Cooperative Youth Leadership Camp brings young people from Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Wyoming together for a week away at a free summer camp. There they build leadership skills and learn about how electric cooperatives operate – all while having tons of fun!
Campers see a variety of awesome speakers and presentations, go whitewater rafting on the Colorado River, and tour power production facilities. They also have the opportunity to serve on committees to help manage camp activities like for the banquet, dance, volleyball tournament, and daily operations of camp. Or they can serve on the camp’s Board of Directors or be Camp Manager to truly exemplify their leadership skills, or work harder on them.
The friendships made along their journey are sure to last a lifetime.
